POLICIES
All clients agree to these policies as a condition of doing business with Philosopher's Stone.
Licensed Massage Therapists may not diagnose disease or illness under their scope of practice.
Consult your physician if you have a health concern.

Appointments & Scheduling
All services are by appointment only. Online scheduling is available. If I do not have availability at your preferred time/day, you may request to be placed on the wait list by texting your preferred date and time to (856) 857-7535. You will be contacted if there is an opening.
All confirmation emails will be sent 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time, and a reminder text will be sent 2 hours before with the exception of same-day appointment scheduling. If you would prefer to receive a confirmation phone call, please let me know at the time of booking.
A valid credit or debit card is required to hold your appointment.

Payment
Payments in the form of cash, check, debit, all major credit cards, HSA and FSA plans are currently accepted.
Gratuity is never expected nor required.

Refunds
All sales for treatments and gift cards are final and nonrefundable.
Gift cards must be used within 24 months of purchase to maintain the full value purchase value; a dormancy fee of $2 will be deducted from the card value for every month the gift remains un-redeemed after this period.

Late Arrival
Late arrival may result in an abbreviated appointment time. Please communicate with me if you are running behind. If more than 20 minutes lapses after your scheduled appointment start time without communication of lateness or cancellation, the appointment will be considered a "no show."

Cancellation
A minimum of 24 hours prior notice is required via phone call or text if you will no longer be able to attend your appointment.
If this requirement is not met, the following fees are in place.

Cancellation inside of the required 24 hours will result in a fee equal to 50% of the service cost.

"No shows" - or failure to arrive without prior indication of a cancellation - are responsible for 100% of the service cost.

Fee percentages will reflect the total cost of service; any discounts which may have been applied are void with the exception of prepaid services.
If I am able to fill your appointment time, I can waive these charges. If you have circumstances which you feel deserve special consideration, please notify me as soon as possible so I may determine whether or not an exception can be made to this policy.

Medical Conditions
Massage is not recommended for clients with certain medical conditions including, but not limited to active illness such as a cold/the flu, having taken pain killers or muscle relaxers within 12 hours of your appointment, untreated heart and circulatory conditions, acute injuries that have not undergone medical attention, thrombosis, et al. Please inform me of any and all medical conditions so the appropriate adjustments may be made to your massage. If it is determined that massage cannot be performed at the time of treatment, we can reschedule at no additional cost.
Intake Forms
All clients must complete and sign an intake form prior to their first session. This form includes a medical history, description of your current issues to be addressed, your goals, an acknowledgement of your responsibilities as the client, an acknowledgement of my scope of practice as the practitioner, a waiver of liability, and agreement to follow my policies. You will be asked to update this information annually.
Forms are sent electronically at the time of booking to the email address you used to schedule. The form is returned securely back to me once you click the "Submit Form" button. Failure to complete this form may result in cancellation of your appointment.

You will leave your session feeling relaxed, heard, and with a sense of progress or accomplishment! Please inform me within 48 hours if your expectations were not met and we can discuss an appropriate amendment.
